Welcome to Harry Elmar Johnson's Photography.

These photos have been scanned from Elmar's old glass plates, approximately 250 Glass plates. Elmar was a keen photographer who took photos and developed them and also made frames for those who required them as well as enlarging photos. Elmar's mother Ellen Johnson, who featured in many of the photos, died of cancer and had lost a lot of weight before her death. So the photos of her in these group photos would have been taken before 1925-26, as she died on 6 January 1927.
The photos are catalogued serially and cross referenced by topic, for easy of access. Slide shows (using reduced size images) are also provided to facillitate browsing. The photos in this collection include:-
Photos taken around: Gracemere, Mt Morgan, Rockhampton, Fairy Bower, Brisbane, Cleveland, Emu Park.
