We had some very nice Ice cream during the evening. I went home with Miss. Pearson.
30-11: I put a handle in my axe and tidied my bench, I also gave the gate another coat of paint. I went up to the Christian Endeavours the first time since I gave up going and I consider it was a rather poor meeting, however it is looking up lately.
1-12-: I have started the month by putting in a fairly good half day burning pear on the top of the hill. I went to town and paid Backert for the suit. The street was fairly crowded Will Birdseye got a bike and seems to be all at sea when on top of it.
2-12-: Will Birdseye and I run the wires and fixed the fence to keep Dunns calves out. It was an awful day for heat.
3-12-: I went to Archer Street Church with Gert and Sydney. After the service a party of us were asked in to the Parsonage to have a sing- song.
4-12-: I have been on top of the hill, I have also gathered 5 pines and some tomatoes for King.

6-12-: This morning I took 1/ 3d worth of pines and tomatoes to Maskells and went down to town to buy a few little things. After I came home I cut out a photo frame.
7-12-: I had dinner at the dairy. Last evening we had a light storm, which to some extent spoilt the Salvation Army meeting. It did a little good to the pines but was not enough to do anything for the grass. I went down and saw Hop Lin and stayed at the farm for tea.
8-12-: I finished framing the enlargement of Dunns baby and took it down. Mrs. Dunn was pleased wi th it and gave me 3 more photos to frame. I went to town after tea and got a bit more moulding. The night was awfully close. I think we are bound to get rain.
9-12-: Morning I cut out 3 photo Frames and took out a couple of photos, I got yesterday of
an interesting group. It was just after we had pulled a calf out of the bog. There is a thunderstorm raging around us just now, hope we get some.
10-12: I drove Sydie King and Laura to Archer Street Church. After Church we had a bit of a sing at Mrs. Kings.
11-12: I was in town all day getting a couple of teeth extracted. After I got them out I went round to Kings, and rested all day. The day was an awfully hot one.
12-12: It is an awful time for the pines. The sun has burnt a lot and completely spoiled them. They are however a great price owing to the scarcity of other fruit. Cased £1/10/ - worth of pines for Arthur.
13-12: I went to the station with pines and felt awfully sick, my mouth is so sore that I can hardly eat anything.
14-12: It was an awfully hot day. I was working for Ted fencing. The thermometer registered 104, in the shade.
15-12: I spent another day with Ted. It was even hotter than yesterday.
16-12: I was not too fresh, but I got a few pines and things together and cut out a couple of frames. After dinner Cecil and I drove to town in my sulky and the creamy. It came up stormy in the evening, but we got none.
17-12: I drove Mother and Laura and Sydie King to town with their new horse, he went very well for first time.

19-12: I went to the station with pines and got a load of cases. After dinner I went to town and saw a Chinaman about pines. I arranged with him to take him, what are ripe tomorrow.
20-12: Cecil and I went to town with pines and got a couple of 3x2 spotted gum for shafts for the cart. The Chinaman gave us 5/- per doz. for the best and 4/ 6d for the smaller ones.
21-12: A man came from the North side and gave me 4/- per dozen for pines taking them as I picked them. He said he had been all over town and could not get any from anyone. He also said that mine were the best he had seen in town.
22-12: Mrs. Campbell came out early in the morning for more pines. I cased up 22 dozen and took to the station for Arthur. This makes £8/2/6d I have made out of pines this week. The largest amount I have ever got in one week
23-12: I rasped the shafts of the spring cart I am making. After tea drove Laura to the city left the sulky at Mrs. Kings and went down the street with Violet and Letty, we had a fair time. Laura and I got home at somewhere near 1 oclock.

25-12: Newmans & Toms family with us spent the day at Fairy bower. The day was rather warm, but in the shade of the big fig tree it was not too bad.
26-12: I went to Mt. Morgan in the early train & went with Arthur & a party to picnic on the big dam. We hired 3 boats & took our Grub and Co over and spent a pretty fair time.
27-12: I did a little to the cart and gathered pines Afternoon we had a nice rainstorm and it is raining lightly now. It will brighten thi ngs up a bit especially if we get some rain later on to follow up. Before the storm came up it was fearfully hot, but just now the wind is blowing rather strong.
