Summary

    This year we planted over 2,000 pineapples round the hill & re ady to plant about 1,000 more Arthur has gone to Childers & Cecil is at Kitchens Camp. A week before Xmas bought a bike Golden Mans B.S.A. fittings. 20 Pounds a good machine. Boxing day I was on the gate at the races, it was terribly hot day & I was ple ased when it was over. Dont like the job much like the money better. Cecil bought me a piccolo for Xmas cost 15/- .In June I bought a Gem Phonograph. In August I had 40 records. Machine cost £20 a good one.

2- 1--: Sold Pineapples.
5-10-: Creek came down in the early morning.
24-12: Bought a coat and vest £1/7/6d. A hat for 6/6d.
31-12: Cr eek came down in the early hours of the morning. Newmans could not get across to go to town with their produce. Daisy had a talk with Tom who was planting pumpkins. Mother got a letter from cousin May, America. Got an awful blowing up over playing cards at the Bakery. Terrible stew, havent got over it yet. Ernie Ward, Jim Emery and myself went down town & saw the last of the old year & the first of the new one.
