Heeley History Workshop

The Workshop was originally started by Norton College as group to meet, share and record reminiscences of Old Heeley. The connection with the college was lost when funding changed but the group continues.
Approaching 40 leaflets have been produced since 1986. Terry Moore has posted copies of the first 20 issues of the Notes, on-line. The address for the copies is http://www.oldheeley.supanet.com

The group will be happy to post out copies of issues 18-25 and 27-38 for 40p each. (Cover prices varied from 10p in 1986 to 40p for the last issue.) There are a limited number of issues 1-5 and 7-10 which have been rephotocopied from originals by the Heeley Development Trust. We hope to recopy the remaining issues in time to provide a full back list. Postage would be extra. An original copy is 5 sheets of A4 paper but the copies are singlesided so have 10 sheets. I would estimate that a full set (that is of those we have) would cost around £4 to post in England. One copy would be covered by a first class stamp. If you would like to buy any copies a cheque should be made out to the 'Heeley History Workshop'.

The Heeley History Workshop meets on Monday afternoons 2pm - 4pm during term time at Heeley Bank School.
There is no formal membership system, people drop in as they wish. The group are often asked to help with queries concerning Heeley, Meersbrook and the River Sheaf area.
